My Nanna was raised on a property in Mudgee called 'Maxwellton' and was the 5th girl in the family. As the story goes, her father gave up waiting for a boy to pass on his name - and so she was named Patricia Maxwell.

I followed on the tradition with my daughter Sophie Maxwell and, given this next adventure is about doing what I love while trying to strike a balance that works with my family, a family name felt fitting.

A little about Kirrily

The first 15 years of my career was spent in Advertising working on big brand campaigns. I have always enjoyed being in a creative field, but knew the direction needed to change once I had kids. My priorities shifted and I followed my long held passion for interiors to study Interior Design while I was living in London.

When we returned to Australia and settled in Brisbane, I undertook a major renovation of a Queenslander in Bardon - extending and turning it into a family home. Then came a Property Styling & Decoration business.

My sole focus now is design & decoration - working with clients to source the furniture, artwork and accessories to bring their homes to life. I have my own distinctive style, but I don't impose it on my clients. I'm good at listening and researching to find pieces that will work in a space and suit my client's taste and lifestyle.
